A new allotment seat, such a temptation
I’ve never had a seat on the allotment before, so never missed the experience. The allotment is only 3 minutes walk away from the house so it’s not as if I would be sitting down with a flask of coffee and a sandwich.
Recently I did notice that a few allotment holders had put an old garden chair on their plots. Mmmm…you know how it is…you see something and you want it too. So this morning the Digger and I did some weeding on the allotment and took an old garden chair with us. He laid four pieces of paving to stop it sinking into the ground and here it is in all its glory. The sitter has a lovely view of the rhubarb.
I must say it’s proving a temptation. I can’t resist sitting in it. Hopefully the novelty will wear off otherwise I’ll never get anything done. The Digger thinks a chair isn’t necessary but I love it. No more overdoing things and getting back ache. It’s medicinal really!

Seats are essential, I have done some of my best gardening while sitting in a seat!
Enjoy the view

Oh yes, seating is essential! Our previous allotment neighbour lived in a flat so used his plot like a garden - up there all day, BBQ going. It was ok, except when he went topless, man boobs on display. Shudder.
