Beautiful! Does it always flower at this time of year? I wonder if 'well covered' refers to the fact that it doesn't lose it's leaves in winter? They grow well here, and all around the Mediterranean, but we haven't got one in our garden.

Trudi - I'd grow more if I had the space, it's a pity not more are hardy here. I gather there are some with red flowers.

CityGarden - I think they would look great in Greece - very appropriate for many areas. I wonder what "well covered" refers to? Must look that up.

Eucalyptous is easy word for my bad english...
(ok! it's greek word meaning "well covered" :P)
Beautiful high tree, we have Eucalyptus in south. They came in Europe from Australia and the first tree in Greece planted in Athens at 1864.

This is a beautiful Eucalyptus. I have a few (not this one )in my garden. I love them. Last year when I was travelling in Portugal I saw many Eucalyptus plantations probably for woodchip)! The bark is so beautiful when it peels off. There are so many different ones to plant. I had a few broken by strong wind.
