Sniff - we were in Leeds and missed it all :(

I got similarly excited in April when we had our first dusting of last winter (!) and yes, got laughed at by the Canadians - a lot.

Your junk as you call it looks pretty even not covered in a snow dusting! :-) We don't get hardly any snow either, but it has already been so cold maybe this will be a year with more white blankets in the garden. I have those square pots too, didn't know they were called that, thanks! I use them for the little earth star bromeliads and seed starting but will try some alpines next year.

Snow makes everything pretty! None for us here yet, which is fine by me....have had an amazingly mild fall so far.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

We had a sprinkling here in Montreal (Canada) a few weeks ago which lasted less than a day -- probably a bit less than what you have. And, despite the fact that we are used to somewhat more snow than that over the course of the winter (a major understatement after last year!), I think that the first snowfall is always somewhat magical/special to a lot of us (before we start muttering under our breaths at subsequent accumulations :) ). Looks to me like you got the perfect amount!

I can understand why you get exited with so little snow, I haven't seen any in my town for years. However, it has been unusually chilly over here, so maybe will get some this year, who knows. Anyway, that agave plant looks fantastic! It makes me want to get one for myself.

No snow here - well apart from on the mountains.
Your agave looks chilly - but pretty.

I would be so excited to see snow, any snow at all! It seems like it gets less likely every year here in Portland.
I bet that agave will be okay, as long as you get it bundled up before a long cold spell.

A few more than 27 flakes then!! I spent a lot of time every winter willing it to snow when I was in the UK, so I know exactly how you feel about it. I love the way it transforms the world.

Love the snow photos! I doubt if we'll get any down here in TX. I don't like driving in it, but it sure helps with the bugs!
