Culprit captured on film! Guilt proven!
What more proof do you need. I took this picture this morning. Northern Shade thought he might be using a saw and she was right. He is in truth a devilish mastermind.
Look at his pitiless expression. Does he care about the hurt he’s causing? I think not!
(Click on the picture if you want to look closer)
The birdtable is now useless as all three food containers inside have big holes in them. He broke in from underneath. Some of you may think I should give up the battle, but how can I with this kind of blatant provocation. I wonder where he hides his toolbox?

Clever little brute! lol
Brilliant love it – This will keep me amused for days!

We’re thinking that bushy tail looks a little suspicious… even a little TOO bushy. hhhmmm… possibly a hiding place for his tools??
Our best deterrent against these dastardly fiends has been our Shibaboyz and Hera the Cat. Get yourself a Shiba Inu or a big ol’ Maine Coon Cat and your squirrels will be too stressed out to forage on your property anymore!
Fiendishly clever! gail
I just put up a squirrel frustration post today too! They are so pesky, especially at this time of year. I think the one at my house was using a drill, backhoe and hacksaw. I suspect the tool chest is under the cedar tree.
Oooh, those pesky (but handy with a tool) squirrels!
We haven’t got any of those. The little workers, the toolbox is well hidden behind the fence, are only doing their job and want to eat…I think they are so cute!
Grrrr – squirrels! I’ve had to give up feeding the birds, the squirrels round here can even get into the so-called most squirrel proof feeders. Now I understand how they do it
Clever and Cute Oh… I would very much like to see a squirrel, it is such a long time since I saw one. / Tyra
I can understand your frustration but the picture is so cute! We rarely see squirrels here armed with tools
While our squirrels are a lot bigger – yours are certainly more evolved. Really made me laugh – thanks for the chuckle!
Secret Agent squirrel,
Secret Agent squirrel,
Swingin’ on a bird feeder one day,
And then layin’ in the backyard alley next day,
You let the bird seed slip,
While making another trip,
The odds are you won’t get some seeds tomorrow.
