I too can have snow – and a giant robin!
Now I don’t need to look at Canadian blog posts to experience a snowy extravaganza – I’ve got my own.
Viewed through half closed eyes I think it’s pretty convincing, and I’m sure you do too……. Go on give it a try.
On second thoughts the robin should have stood at the back then he wouldn’t look like a fluffy King Kong. I told him so, but like all robins he is a bumptious know-it-all. Now he looks rather embarrassed – serves him right!
Wishing you all
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Gigantic robins you have in your garden! Merry Christmas – enjoy the holiday! Looking forward to following your blog in 2009.
Yikes – what on earth have you been feeding your birds …. if the Robin is that big , how big is the Squirrel!?!

Now this is VERY cute ! .. and I don’t mind robin at all !
I always loved the European robin compared to our great be ginormous North American robins .. haha
Merry Xmas : )
Hi EG, yes, eyes squinted, it does look like a winter wonderland with a giant robin. Quick, cover your head! :-)
Have a very merry Christmas!
Frances
Uncanny – just like looking out of my window!!
That robin is big enough for the Christmas dinner table!
Wishing you a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2009,
HM
You have got a great winter scene. The jolly snowman sports his green scarf with panache and enjoys himself thoroughly, he just winked at me. The fat robin poked out his tongue. Father Christmas is rather intrigued with his Rudolf. A great tableau of
Christmas cheer.
lol !!! :)
Speechless
No seriously – it is just like how I imagine Canada to look in the snow.
Happy crimbo

It does resemble my backyard, if you squint.
Merry Christmas.
…and a Merry Christmas to you too! Mm…. looks like the scene on my Christmas trifle ;-D
Snow snow and more snow here. Tired of it all to be honest – I’m housebound! Going to be interesting to see what plants have survived the worst weather week in memory here… happy merry to you!
Extremely convincing, especially if I take my glasses off. In any case, most robins think they’re that size; they certainly behave as if they do.
Happy Christmas!
Go ahead and delete this comment if the bad words make this not a family friendly comment, but I had to point out, if you haven’t already seen it. Your robin comments remind me of this worlds most awesome cute animal blog: http://fuckyoupenguin.blogspot.com/
What a cute and funny post, you really make me smile :) I have been really envious of all that snow actually, doesn’t it look amazing?
Chaiselongue – See you in 2009 too!
Zoe – He’s a mutant robin a think :-)
VP – I am still looking for the ultimate squirrel deterrent :-)
Joy – Merry Christmas. Yes our robins are very cute!
Frances – I hadn’t thought of the overflying aspect (lol)
Amanda – I knew it was convincing :-)
Happy Mouffetard – Season’s Greetings to you too. See you in 2009.
Titania – Glad you liked my little tableau!
Karen – Soooo.. convincing (lol)
Northern Shade – Helps if you are very short sighted.
Shirl – I am sure your trifle tasted better!
Karen – Snow is a novelty, but only to those who don’t see it often (lol)
Victoria – Yes, robins are giants in their own minds!
Megan – Fun link – though I had to retrieve your comment from my spam folder :-)
Sowing the Seeds – Thanks. I’m still hopeful we will get a little snow before winter ends but I doubt it!
Found you through Blotanical…Love your Santa in the woodland scene!
Very cute! I can see it as well. Ho Ho Ho, hope you had a Merry Christmas:) We have no snow and perhaps sometime in Jan/Feb we’ll get some. Your scene works well here, in fact, if I squint, I can see the same thing looking out my own window! Jan
I was totally fooled! Seriously! ;-D
You’re right, looks just like Canada – after a few Whiskey Sours made with sufficient quantities of Crown Royal. Lots of fun.
