I've dealt with stressed kitties before and as frustrating as it is for us, think how bad it must be for them. Cats are generally very fastidious about their cleanliness, so those darn roofers have obviously gotten her very upset. I agree with Yolanda Elizabet...give her a safe place until this is all over. Even if that doesn't help, at least she will have her "accidents" in one spot and you won't have to watch her 24/7. Maybe too, the private secluded spot will let her know that nothing is going to happen to her in that little spot and she'll relax a little bit. That, as opposed to having a whole floor of a house to worry about. She's a beautiful, beautiful cat and I hope life returns to normal for you all very soon! Awww, poor Georgie. Or in this case, literally ripping the roof off! That's a lot of stress for a feline, especially a getting-older one. If she's into using the bathroom, I've read that some people have success with training their cat to go into the actual toilet. But maybe that's for younger kitties.
