Now that fine looking contraption would come in most useful at my allotment :)

Anna: It is part of an outdoor run that we used to have for our pet rabbit. I've recycled it and it has been very handy over the years!

Yes, they do have a way of knowing where the dirt has been nicely prepared, don't they?! Glad you have a solution, it's actually kind of elegant too. I used to roll chicken wire over the top of my raised bed after I disturbed soil for that very same reason (after finding one too many "presents")! Not pretty, but it kept the kitties away.

Cute cat - but I was more interested in reading your plant labels Nerines - nice.
K

Karen: Yes it's taken years for those Nerines to establish themselves. I'm afraid the other labels are harder to read (lol)

We have the same problem with our two - especially when I'd freshly dug over the veg patch and put in the onion sets last year... we covered ours over with netting and then the little b...ers had the nerve to go and use my neighbours veg patch instead... how embarassing when he came to complain... but what can you do when you live in the countryside!? So I gave him another set of netting I had left over.... ways to keep the peace with neighbours eh! Miranda

Miranda: Cats have no sense of propriety! Glad you reached a compromise with your neighbours.

Clever way to keep kitty from using your freshly composted bed as a pottie. ;)
