This reminds me that both the Detroit Zoo and Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids have annual butterfly "exhibits" in spring. Must go explore!

Hi EG, fun flutterby pics. Love the Blue Morpho, how it's kind of drab and moth-like with its wings closed, but when open, wow! If you ever get out here to Seattle, the Zoo has a butterfly exhibit open much of the year, and also the Pacific Science Center has a year-round tropical plant/butterfly garden that has many of those you saw and posted about here. There are special staff people standing by the exit doors to check everyone for butterflies on clothing. So fun to see! Especially in winter, when we don't have any flying about outdoors.

Hi EG, I am so glad you made a second go around, the flower you show is an exotic beauty. Imagining looking in a mirror for butterflies that want to go home with you sounds delightful. It would be tempting. I wonder if they could live in my greenhouse? There is a new butterfly house at a large aquarium in Chattanooga, about an hour from me. Must go soon.

They're so beautiful, what a treat. After the two months, do they capture them all and relocate them? It seems they go to great lengths to care for them well.

What a great opportunity to see so many exotic butterflies under the same roof. Must let my sister know about this as she is in striking distance of Wisley. I am most envious :)

Hi easygardener, that a wonderful post. I love Wisley, I just wish that I lived a little bit closer...
Excellent job with the camera and well done catching the Blue Morpho opened, I have never managed to do that.

Take care/ Tyra
