Double Fragrance

These two are their best at the moment. The fragrance from both of them is superb.

Wisteria floribunda and Choisya 'Aztec Pearl'

Wisteria floribunda and Choisya 'Aztec Pearl'

What a stroke of luck that I planted them next to the garden path. I can press my face into the flowers and inhale  the perfume as I go by.

Garden design has never been my strong point. I’m more of a ….here’s a plant…. there’s a space…..sort of  gardener (lol).

This time it worked!

What a great combination, you did good! ;) I love things that are fragrant too, I can just imagine pressing my nose into those blossoms.

Oh, I am exactly the same – space? Whomp! Dead plant? Out it goes, random replacement – whomp! Do you have a lilac too? They are blooming here as well as the Mexican orange and wisteria. I need a good whiff of those two you have, I miss them from my old garden and other places. Sniff deeply and save up the memory for next year!

You are a bit like me, just bung it here. Sometimes I got it right sometimes not and then again you can just dig it up and move it if its not working. Going to a pottery today to get some more terracotta pots, whoopee!!!

I love when a somewhat accidental plant combination works out so well! It looks beautiful.

Your combination looks beautiful! I thought I was the only one who gardened like that. Empty space–plant goes in! Firstly, it’s the lack of space and on top of that, being downright greedy for more!

I agree, if there’s an empty space, fill it with something delightful before the weeds take over, and they’re pretty fast. We are just getting started on spring, no lovely blossoms like that yet. But soon…..

I tend to plan but still unexpected things happen. I am familiar with the wonderful wisteria perfume, is the choisya perfumed too? Just take care when doing the face pressing thing … watch out for bees!
