The three stages of Ghislaine and pond slurping

This one cluster of flowers shows the beginning, the crowning glory  and the end of this lovely Rose, still flowering as the weather gets colder.

Plus an explanation as to why the pond always needs to be refilled on a regular basis.

Can you see him? My cat Halki prefers the mature flavours of pond water.

Our 2 cats slurp out half the pond on a regular basis. Or. There is a leak somewhere?

ha ha! The cat drains the pond dry and then gobbles up all the fishes! ‘ I will have those fish, even if I have to drink this pond dry!!’ he says to himself…xxx

Both my terriers drink from the pond, or as a last resort, the watering can, rather than using the lovely clean water bowls all around the house!

Glad I’m not the only one who has to keep topping up the pond because of pets.

How funny! Drinking the pond dry and eating the fishes, what a great comment! We grew Ghislaine in Texas and the color was by far my favorite, though the flowers were smallish. It might need to come live here in TN as well, thanks for the inspiration.

Ghislaine is a delight. Does she have a beautiful scent?
Bill and Ted much prefer the vintage pond water to fresh water.

The rose is delightful such delicate shades.

We have a dog that prefers the sludge water it amazes me they don’t get ill as we humans certainly would.

They prefer sludge to chlorine. Maybe they know something we don’t?

That is a beautiful rose. All our animals have always prefrred drinking from the pond – or a puddle! :)

Have you tried seaweed feed? (Diluted, of course.) That goes down a bomb round here. Worth risking getting your head stuck in a watering can for.
