Blooming Friday: December, week 2 – Alpines at Wisley
Yesterday I visited the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) Garden at Wisley. Here are a few of the plants I saw in the Alpine house. I hope they brighten up this Blooming Friday.
Thanks to Katarina at Roses and Stuff for hosting Blooming Friday.

Oh yes, your pictures do brighten my day! Especially the Hepatica – such a sweetie pie!
Have a great weekend!
Each bloom is stunning! So exotic and nothing like what I’ve seen before. That yellow of the Narcissus is to die for!
I really must get to Wisley sometime!
I love the alpine houses at Wisley – they are my favourite bit. I blogged about that Massonia this time last year.. something about it being very desirable to gerbils if I remember rightly.
Lovely pics. They have brightened my day also as we have had rain all day. Have a good weekend.
A real nice visit you bring us, alpine plants are so fascinating, I especially liked that Massonia, think I shall do some resurch
Lovely! It is so interesting how the pots are buried. So many unusual blooms. I confess to preferring the single Hepatica but this one is stunning. Carol
I just love alpines! I have to figure out a way to grow them in my garden… The Hepatica is adoring!
Thank you for the vitamin injection! I needed that. Have a nice weekend!
They definitely brighten my day like a good dose of sunshine. And I fell in love with Hepatica nobilis
My seagreen mermaid Lachenalia. I love that plant!
Clever. As I don’t have any indoor plants, or none that flower in any event, I will take all the color from elsewhere that I can get! That massonia is almost obscene, what a hilarious form!
Nice pictures! They definitely brightened up this cold Monday.
I love Wisley, but I have not been for a while. Nice to see a few pictures from there! Ingrid
I love those Hoop Petticoat narcissus! The Hepatica too. Such beautiful and unique-looking plants.
