Lights, Tweeting and Snowflakes
It is that time of year again. Out come the Christmas decorations and my favourites – the lights. The more coloured lights we have to brighten the dark days of winter the better I like it.
In the centre of the picture is Tweety Bird – loved only by me. He whistles a selection of Christmas songs if someone bumps into him. He normally hangs at the bottom of the stairs so there is plenty of opportunity. Why do people keep switching him off – it’s a mystery to me.
And wonder of wonders…it snowed today. It melted after a few hours but I still have hopes of a white Christmas. Fingers crossed!

No signs of snow in Cheshire
I am with you on the lights and give Tweety Bird a bump from me.
HA, EG, we used to have a tweetie bird too and my husband finally took him off the tree never to be seen, or heard again. My family does stuff like that too. Don’t they appreciate Christmas carols? Your garden scene is wonderful. We used to only want white lights, but age has made us wish for the mulitcolored ones too. Is it the failing vision? Or a broader love of all colors? It happens in the garden too.

Your garden looks lovely in the snow. I just brought my Christmas tree in from outside today (complicated by the fact that we have plenty of snow here!). Your pictures of the decorations should inspire me to get to work trimming the tree.
Have you come across the singing Christmas tree lights yet?
Oy vey! A mechanical tweeting bird in the house? My daughter’s got a frog that croaks, via a motion sensor, in her little Harry Potter Garden and I want to kick the damn thing everythime I walk by – and that’s OUTSIDE!
I’m with your family on this one.
I found them in B&Q as I had to stand next to them for 15 minutes waiting for NAH to finish rootling around elsewhere in the store.
