When there is one solitary flower in the garden it just makes it that much more special - I think we're all so spoilt with the wonderful colour we have during the rest of the year - during the winter months it certainly gives you time to really appreciate just one flower!! Enjoy the snow whilst it lasts... looks as though a thaw is on it's way this week but we'll see! M

How beautiful that rose looks against the snow.
We are not to bad here at the coast - although everything has turned to ice.

Remember last year you suggested putting apple and bread on a spike for the birds? Esther tried it and it was left un-touched. In the end she gave up and took it down. But I did it just now and, the moment I came in again, a robin (a robin!) landed on the bread and began pecking away! The water I put out an hour ago had frozen over already so I've put a deeper dish there now. Spect I'll have to keep changing it all day.

Thanks for the suggestion - both from me and the Robin!

It is still amazing how much snow you are getting and how wide the coverage. Hooray for the strength of a rose!
