Blooming Friday: January, week 4 – Gold and Ice
Welcome to Blooming Friday. I try to imagine this Narcissus flowering outside and it brings Spring a little nearer.
I have done with winter now and am longing for some signs of life in the garden.
I am not the only one wishing the weather would warm up. While out walking last Sunday I saw these grumpy Swans on a frozen lake .
Thanks to Katarina at Roses and Stuff for hosting Blooming Friday.

Great photos. I don’t blame them, I am getting a bit grumpy myself waiting for warmer weather.
Yes, yes, we all long for spring. At least you have no snow;)
Nice “longing for …”-pictures.

Yes it is a bit bleak looking. Cheer yourself up with some seed catalogues. Always works for me.
Nice pic’s though.
That is a charming daffodil. I grew up next to a lake and used to enjoy feeding the wild (but tame
) mallards and Canada Geese. The geese were so well insulated ice formed on their wing feathers!
Well, spring will come in it’s time, but it can wait for an other two months, I enjoy winter when it’s not to cold..But colors,Oh, I long for colors! Feel sorry for those swans, though…
Your narcissus is such a bright and sunny sign of spring! Spring is approaching – it’s just that we cant see it…yet!
Have a lovely weekend, although it’s still winter…
easter flowers, a bit early, isn´t it? But so sweet.
It’s always a good idea to make a pot of spring! Looks nice.
