Time to get moving and Gardening blooper number 1

I had a blogging lull over the last week. It seems eating chocolate eggs does not give an energy boost to body or brain. I am now trying to get on with things in the garden and I started by bringing some plants out of the greenhouse to make room for seeds and seedlings. This is a mere fraction of what is packed into the greenhouse but at least I now have room for a couple of trays of seedlings.

Plants brave the open air

I then started potting up tomato seedlings and noticed that the pot in the centre had six seedlings instead of the expected three. Hmmm! ThenĀ  I found I was missing a pot for my Tomato ” Black Sea Man”. Where had those seeds gone? I was sure I had planted some.

Gardening blooper number 1 – Oh no…I had planted two varieties in one pot. Duh! Now I won’t know which is which until they grow bigger.

I’ve discovered that eating chocolate boosts me for a few minutes and then I crash…It must be an age thing! You have been very busy! The fruits of your hard work will be delicious…Better then chocolate! gail

It may be a blooper, but I’m excited to see how it goes. I’ve heard good things about Black Sea Man. Is the one it might be confused with a quite different variety, perhaps? Black Sea Man is a determinate with potato-leaf foliage, I think. Maybe the other variety has standard leaves and you’ll be able to tell sooner than when it fruits…

Oh how funny! I loved Black Sea Man, having to buy plants for the name alone, but it turned out to be quite tasty too. Chocolate eggs are a necessity of life, but do not give the brain that sharp edge like say, coffee does. Just saying. :-)

Sounds like the sort of trick I perform on a regular basis. Time for the greenhouse shuffle again :)
