Seeds, Muffins and Malvern

I am still way behind in the garden this year, quite how that has happened I do not know. Finally I have got round to sowing some vegetable seeds which I am keeping in the greenhouse.  Hopefully this will allow them to get off to a good start. I also have seedlings of Tomatoes, Chilli Peppers, Cucumbers and Squash.

I am not blogging or commenting as often for some reason – I do apologise.  I could blame The Web Designer and his wife J who moved in with us while looking for a new house. They have found one but it needs a lot of work so naturally they prefer staying on in more comfortable surroundings.  In truth it is lovely having them here as they have taken on a share of the cooking (hurrah!) and J has shown a talent for making scrumptious muffins (yum!).

Nor can I make much progress in the garden this coming weekend as I have been tempted by the garden bloggers’ get together at Malvern. The Digger and I are looking forward to the Malvern Spring Show and meeting people who have so far only existed in cyberspace.

I have a plan of campaign.

  • I will not buy too many plants
  • I will learn something about garden design that I can apply to my own garden (extremely unlikely but I live in hope)
  • I will not obsess about expensive garden features and sculpture that I cannot afford
  • If I take my sunglasses the weather will be sunny

Ready for the Show!

“I will not buy too many plants”…oh, the number of times I’ve said that to myself! Good luck!

I think I might have to adopt your list – I have 3 days of temptation!

Looking forward to seeing you soon :)

What a good list.
“I am going to limit myself to three plants is my mantra” (ha!)
I am so happy to know that I am not the only one who is a bit late with their veg this year.
Your greenhouse looks ever so tidy

Ok, come on, how many exactly is not too many plants?????????
Do you have a number in mind? The garden features and sculptures, etc. I can agree with you but your first statement on your list, well!
You will not be able to resist.

You are probably more disciplined than I am. Merely stating “I will not buy too many plants” can be stretched to accommodate any number under, say, fifty. I would be in real danger at Malvern. Enjoy yourself (without the sunglasses of course).

Please, tell us how did you follow your Plan, let say in September. Especially article #1…

I think that my plan is very similar especially the first point. Looking forward to meeting you.
P.S. Like the sunglasses theory :)

No, no, if you want the weather to be sunny you have to take your umbrella …
