The summer garden does its own thing

There have been a number of distractions at Greenforks lately and I have not been able to spend much time on the main flower borders (or on blogging and commenting for that matter!). The vegetable plot is looking good but the flower borders are full of weeds. Luckily they are also full of flowers too so the weeds are not obvious.

It just goes to show that the flower borders can manage themselves for one season at least – and that the camera can make weeds magically disappear.

On Saturday I am going to Greece for two weeks so will not be blogging for a while. I am hoping to be more organised by the time I return – I am desperate to get back to regular blogging and hope the break will provide a kick start to my mushy brain!

I love your new bench seat! Can I borrow your camera? I have some weeds I’d like to make magically disappear! :P

Oh I do love the new seat. How unusual. Did you say that there was weeds in your garden, I never saw any. Are you coming to Crete by any chance? The weather here at the moment is red hot so pack plenty of suntan cream cos you’ll need it.

Your new bench seat is lovely! I do agree with you about the weeds – if the perennials and shrubs are big enough, the weeds aren’t that obvious.
Have a great time in Greece!

Nice to see you back here again, even if only briefly for now. I hope the computer is behaving itself and the painting is all done – the garden is certainly looking lovely, and I can’t see any weeds. Have a lovely time in Greece!

Your new bench is so natural and woodsy looking, and goes well with the pedestal. The plantings around it are looking great, so full of flowers. I like the way your flowers come right up to your pond.

Your gardens are lovely and will be fine without you. It is comforting to know this for sure. You have a very safe and fun trip!

The garden looks really good and could not spot many weeds. It is so good to see all the plants in flower…it is winter here in Australia.
Oh and Georgie is lovely too!

Love the pics! What is that pinkish/purple flower behind your garden seat…looks like some sort of geranium?
