Blooming Friday – Fanciful
My interpretation of fanciful is something imaginary and whimsical. What better to illustrate this than a display I saw at the Chelsea Flower Show last year. I loved the bright colours and the exuberance of it all.
It was called “Fantastic Thailand” and was designed by Thailand’s Nong Nooch Tropical Botanic Garden. Each sculpture is covered with flowers individually hand-crafted from petals and leaves. They must have used thousands of them over the whole display. It was awarded a Gold Medal and certainly deserved it.

Wow! What a job! And so beautiful, and so fanciful! Nothing for my garden, thoug ;)
Have a nice day!
Never been to Thailand, not to Chelsea either. Impressive with all that colour. For me personally it is “too much”, still beautifull.
Have a wonderful weekend.

That’s amazing! How do they do it! It’s beyond me… Impressive!
It was amazing, such an achievement to create it. Nice pics Easygardener.

They are impressive but I’m unclear how they were made. When you say ‘hand-crafted’ – were they made from real petals and leaves which will die or are they made of some other kind of material?
